Once upon a time a wee girl had a wee little notebook where she would neatly transcribe knitting patterns for her barbie dolls. Fast forward to the present and not much has changed, a wee grown up girl is still scribbling down pattern notes and ideas on her ever faithful iPad.
Along the way, one adventure bound husband, a teaching career and two adorable yet exuberantly messy and creative children have been added to the mix.
A typical day finds me squeezing in a bit of knitting at the beach, in the park, while playing games with the kiddies, soothing and feeding those kiddies, on road trips, reading stories or amongst the daily domestic goddess duties.
Distractions, constant distractions and more distractions are what dictate my approach to knitting, because that's quite frankly how it is for me on a daily basis. Like most mums, really.
This I try to reflect in my patterns, because seriously, I know I'm not the only one who tries to sneak a row or two in when they can!
My patterns are incredibly detailed, moreso than most, with a clean layout to make it easier to keep your place when you're on the go.
I'm a long time devotee of the perfection of dk/8ply weight yarns and organic yarns.
I would happily kill for the perfect yellow organic dk/8ply weight yarn. True.
I love simple clean lines, seamless knits, bold colours, beautiful yarn and the quick thrill of creating kids knits.
I am an Australian based seaside living type of girl.
And yep, I'm up for yarn support.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in offering me yarn support.
(it doesn't have to be yellow.... or organic.)
